The Dell is an ideal base from which to explore Suffolk with it's many places of interest. Norfolk and the famous Norfolk Broads are within easy driving distance.

Other places to visit include:

Thetford Forest: Situated in the heart of East Anglia, Thetford Forest is a patchwork of pines, heathland and broadleaves providing the ideal setting for a refreshing and enjoyable day out at any time of year.

Ickworth House: Ickworth House is a country house outside Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. It is a neoclassical structure topped by a giant rotunda in a park laid out by Capability Brown. It is in the care of the National Trust, and, as part of the Ickworth House, Park & Garden property, is open to the public. There are also other National Trust properties in the Area.

Banham Zoo: Banham Zoo is set amongst 35 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens with innovative and exciting enclosures, providing sanctuary for almost 1000 animals ranging from big cats to birds of prey and siamangs to shire horses.

Cambridge: Cambridge is a wonderful fusion of the everyday and the extraordinary, a living city that has shaped history, that today reflects the best of historic and contemporary life and is continuing to make its mark on the future.

Newmarket: Newmarket is the historic Home of Horseracing and the greatest horseracing centre in the world. It offers a treasure trove of sights and sounds for the racing enthusiast.

Lavenham: Lavenham is a medieval village in Suffolk, England famous for its impressive Fifteenth Century church, half-timbered medieval cottages and circular walk.

Aldeburgh: A charming town on the Suffolk coast which has interesting sites to visit.

Southwold: Southwold is a quintessentially English resort town. The town offers much of interest, but it is the sea and Southwold's links with it that make this a wonderful destination at any time of the year.

Bury St Edmunds: This lovely medieval market town has a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the year. Convenient for Cambridge and only two hours from London, it is the perfect place to bring an organised group or to visit with family and friends.

Harvey's Garden Plants: We are fortunate to have Harvey's Garden Plants Nursery and Gardens just up the road, winner of four Chelsea Gold Medals. The nursery also incorporates The Orchard Room, which serves delicious lunches and afternoon teas.

Cracknells Garage: Occasionally visitors to the park have trouble with their vehicles, we have found our local garage just down the road to be very helpful when this happens, they are also a filling station. Please visit their website to find out more.

Our reception area can also provide further details of local amenities.
